Dr. Shawn Lehman-Grimes is a native Clarksvillian. Dr. Shawn graduated from Emory University in 1998 where he completed his B.A. degree in Art History while minoring in Biology. After being accepted into dental school, he attended the University of Tennessee Dental College and graduated with honors obtaining his DDS in 2002. From there, Dr. Shawn was admitted into the University of Tennessee Orthodontic Residency Program, where after three years of specialty training, he received his MDS. After more than a decade of higher education, Dr. Shawn returned home to continue the family legacy in the field of orthodontics. Staying very active in organized dentistry, Dr. Shawn is currently president-elect for the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, board member on the American Association of Orthodontist’s Council on Insurance, and Treasurer for the 8th District Dental Society. When not chasing after his 2 beautiful daughters or spending time with his wife, Dr. Shawn can be found hunting or at a Nashville Predators game. Go Preds!

 


Dr. Timothy Carter, President

Dr. Timothy C. Carter is a native of Vinita, Oklahoma. He received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in 1997 and his D.D.S. from the University of Oklahoma in 2001. Dr. Carter joined the United States Army on a Health Professional Scholarship and completed a 1-Year Advanced General Dentistry Program in Baumholder, Germany. After returning from his overseas tour of duty, Dr. Carter completed the Periodontal Residency program at Fort Gordon, GA in 2007. And in November of the same year, Dr. Carter became a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology. After serving 9 years in the United States Army Dental Corps Dr. Carter decided to enter private practice and in 2011 and opened his practice in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Dr. Carter is actively involved in the following professional organizations: American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, Tennessee Dental Association, 8th District Dental Society- Currently Secretary/Treasurer, International Team for Implantology.


Dr. Matt Palomaki, a Michigan native, received his Bachelor of Science degree  from Northern Michigan University. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis where he was awarded the Jack T. Camp and Dr. "Mac" scholarships. Since 2007, Dr. Palomaki has been practicing in Clarksville, TN where he now calls home. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2013 he completed the Comprehensive Implant Residency Program in Birmingham, AL. With advanced technology, state-of-the-art dental equipment and on-going training and education, Dr. Palomaki strives to promote optimum oral health and instill the importance of quality dental care. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Palomaki enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and his interests include music, exercise and photography.


Dr. Kennedy is originally from Clarksville, TN where he attended Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools and Austin Peay State University. He then pursued his dental education and graduated first in his class from the University Of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2010. Following completion of his DDS degree, he completed a two year residency program specializing in pediatric dentistry at the University of Tennessee. Following residency, he joined the clinical staff as the pediatric dentist of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and practiced as an associate for a private practice in Collierville, TN. Dr. Kennedy returned to Clarksville and joined our practice in 2013.

He is a board certified Diplomate for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has received several awards during his formal education and professional career. He is involved in local and national dental societies as well as various community activities and organizations. He is married to Adonia and has four children.
